Teknoinvest announces a newly established special purpose fund, Teknoinvest Energy Invest I, which invested into CiDRA Corporation located in Wallingford, Connecticut, USA. CiDRA supplies flow monitoring services and systems to the energy and natural resources markets world wide. After closing of the CiDRA financing in June 2006, Teknoinvest Energy Invest I has invested USD 6,2 million into the Company out of a total financing round of USD 25,0 million. The investors of the fund consist mainly of investors that Teknoinvest has a long standing relationship with. 

 

Teknoinvest Management has the pleasure of announcing the first closing of its new fund - Teknoinvest VIII, with a committed capital of € 60 million.

As Teknoinvest`s earlier funds, the fund will invest primarily into early stage Information Technology, Communications and Life Sciences companies, located primarily in the Nordic Countries and the United States.

Teknoinvest believes the timing of Teknoinvest VIII is right, since investments will be made in the lower part of the industry`s cycle with favourable terms and valuations. "When we exit the investee companies in 4-6 years time, we expect to be in the upper part of the cycle", Bjørn Bjorå said.
